Artistic Advisors

Something unique to NYMA, found nowhere else, is our Board of Artistic Advisors. Featuring Faculty members from the Juilliard School, our advisors provide the extra knowledge to keep our school on the leading edge of teaching music. It
consists of the head of the piano faculty and president of the pre-college division at the Juilliard School, Yoheved Kaplinsky, as well as Juilliard School and Curtis Music Institute Piano faculty member, Robert McDonald, the long-time concert partner of violinist, Midori.

Faculty Biographies

New York Music & Arts offers the highest quality of musical education in Queens with our world-renowned faculty consisting of graduates from the Juilliard School in New York. Each faculty member has been carefully reviewed and selected through a rigorous interview process. The result is a music school that rivals the top institutions in the world. We maintain a close link with the Juilliard School faculty. By having our board of advisors, we keep our school on the leading edge of teaching music, consisting of the head of the piano faculty and president of the pre-college division at the Juilliard School, Yoheved Kaplinsky, as well as Juilliard School and Curtis Music Institute Piano faculty member, Robert McDonald, the long-time concert partner of violinist, Midori.

Each teacher at New York Music and Arts is not only internationally recognized in their respective instrument or talent, but has extensive experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels. As the school's faculty actively performs in the New York area, as well as throughout the world, students of the New York Music & Arts are continually inspired by their teachers through live performances, CD recordings and radio/television broadcasts. Students and their family enjoy invitations from the school to over 400 performances at the Juilliard School, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, as well as other venues every year.
