Minghua Zhu,
Piano

Winner of
several piano competitions in her
native country, China, Ms. Minghua
Zhu has performed in recitals
throughout China, Europe, and the
United States.
Ms. Zhu has won
numerous international competitions,
including the "Young Artist" and the
"Young Pianist" awards at The 9th
and The 10th Liaoning China Young
Artist Piano Competition, “Excellent
Performance” at the Hong Kong
Chinese Piano Competition, Second
Prize at The 1st Tian Chen Piano
Competition (the recital was
broadcasted by SYTV), and Third
prize at The 3rd China States Young
Artist Piano Competition (the
recital was broadcasted by LNTV). In
the year of 2005, as the first prize
winner in Bradshaw & Buono
International Piano Competition, she
made her debut recital at the Weill
Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall.
Ms. Zhu had received her B.M degree
from Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
As a full Scholarship and “Dean
Award” recipient, under the tutelege
of Mr. Alvin Chow and Mr. Peter
Takacs at Oberlin. She has obtained
her M.M, also as a scholarship
recipient, at Manhattan School of
Music where she studied with Solomon
Mikowsky and Jeffery Cohen. She also
studied with world renowned
musicians such as, Frank Levy, David
Allen Wehr and Matti Raekallio from
the Juilliard School.
